The high price of biodiesel

I've spent a good chunk of the morning researching the reasons behind the high price of biodiesel. The reasons I've discovered have somewhat placated my anger, but I still feel that the price of biodiesel being higher than petrodiesel, is a little ridiculous.

I've added a link to Sequential biofuels' blog to my front page.

Sunday studying at Albina Green

Today J and I are studying at Albina Green. Close to home, walkable and along a bus route this is quickly becoming one of our favorite places.

Let me just say that the food here is fantastic!
The food is described as nouveau American which I see as 50/50 on being an accurate description of it. There is a fair amount of standard fare on the menu you might even say predictable for our city's appetite. However, the interpretation presented here is far above many places that I have tried recently, especially when when price is considered.

We're working on our fourth hour here. The crowd has grown and the noise level has risen, but it is very acceptable for one trying to concentrate while out at a public place with moderate traffic.

Albina Green presents as a music venue at night and the decoration reflects that nicely. The menu covers are made from old album covers and upon the walls hang music paraphernalia including photos and paintings of musicians, musician action figures, instruments and album covers.
almost every night has music, open mic, and on Sundays, trivia.

Three skylights adorn the ceiling letting in plenty of light and a green lush lawn the front patio area.
Today is warm and sunny so the patio is getting plenty of use.

I rate this place an A from my three visits

saturday morning

I'm reclined on the couch right now while I upload video to my kombucha post that I have been drafting for about 2 weeks.
I just cranked the heat up t 69 degrees because I'm a little cold.
My lovely girlfriend is asleep in the bedroom. How I envy her ability to sleep in.

I guess I should crack the shades and let some light in.

What I'm accomplishing without making too much noise:
charging the camera batteries
blogging

I hate colds

I sit here at work installing Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 on a new pc for someone starting work tomorrow. Sometimes software installs are like watching paint dry, but the kind of work I do always consist of easy (fast) and hard (slow) task.

Right now my main problem is that I'm apparently coming down with cold symptoms now that I've stopped taking Astragalus. The Astragalus has worked great as an immune booster for about half a year now, but if I take to much now, I occasionally get numbness in my arms when I lay down.

Tomorrow is my first visit with a Naturopath! I really can't wait to see how he diagnoses my health problems as compared to my Allopath. I plan on living a long and preferably healthy life.

Friday the 7th - First blog

I'm sitting here at Hubers waiting for J. It's about 11pm and I scored a booth on a mildly busy Friday night.
I guess I got lucky.
I rode the number 4 bus down and thanks to transit tracking, i didn't get wet from the rain.

The bartender from the other night is making our Spanish Coffees as I type away on my cell phone.

BTW
I'm a tech nerd.
